About Me

My name is Angelina Povio, and I’m a photographer based in the Greater Sacramento and Bay Area who specializes in natural, candid photography in outdoor environments. I'm the photographer behind Povio Photography, a name inspired by my dad, whose support and encouragement continue to play an important role in shaping my creative path. 

Photography has been part of my life for over a decade. What began as a creative outlet gradually became something much more meaningful: an opportunity to connect with people and tell honest, personal stories through images. I later earned my BFA in Photography from California State University, Sacramento, where I developed a deeper understanding of visual storytelling, light, and the creative process. 

I am drawn to natural light and outdoor environments where people can relax and feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is collaborative and candid; instead of strict posing, I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere so that moments can unfold naturally. I believe the most meaningful photographs happen when people feel present and at ease.

My goal is to create images that feel authentic and timeless; photographs that capture not only how something looks but also how it feels. Whether we are documenting a milestone or simply celebrating a moment in time, I want the experience to feel approachable, creative, and meaningful.
